NANAIMO — Drivers stuck in morning traffic saw quite the sight this morning after a car caught on fire.
A car driving south through the Nanoose Flats hit a car turning onto the highway just before 8:30 a.m. The hit was so significant one of the cars burst into flame, police said.
Thankfully both involved weren’t injured though they were taken to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital as a precaution.
Southbound traffic was congested for roughly an hour as Nanoose Volunteer Fire crews extinguished the blaze.
