NANAIMO — The Buccaneers and Victoria Cougars are now embroiled in a best-of-3 to determine who will advance to the VIJHL final.
The Victoria Cougars recorded a 5-1 victory Sunday night at the Nanaimo Ice Centre to square the best-of-7 league semi-final at 2 games apiece.
Two first period power-play goals paced the Cougars attack, who built up a 5-0 third period lead.
Victoria went 3-for-10 with the man advantage, and were led by offensively by former Buccaneer Booker Chacalias (1g, 3a).
