Cougars bite Bucs’ late in Game 6 to take the series

NANAIMO — The season is over for the Nanaimo Buccaneers after a 4-3 loss to the Victoria Cougars last night in Game 6 at the Pirate Ship.

The Bucs’ had a 3-2 lead going into the third period but the Cougars scored two unanswered goals in the final frame to seal the win.

The Bucs’ got goals from Darian Harris, Chase Fioretti, Jacob Gosling and Blake Wood made 25 saves.

The loss marks the end of the Junior Hockey tenure of three players from the Bucs’ Captain Billy Walters, Darian Harris, Seamus O’Toole and Zackary Evans.
